Appropriate needle positioning when performing cervical interlaminar epidural steroid injections (ILESI) is imperative in order to optimize both patient safety and efficacy of the intervention. The retrodural space of Okada is a potential space between the ventral vertebral lamina and dorsal surface of the ligamentum flavum that allows for communication between cervical facet joints and the interlaminar space, interspinous region, and the contralateral facet joint.1
