Clitorodynia after using a device for self pleasure: a deeper dive into sexual health

Introduction: More than half of women in the United States report having used a vibrator, with a 2009 study showing that 52% have incorporated sexual device assistance during sexual activity and 41% have used with patterned stimulation. Device use has been associated with improvements in libido, sexual function, and reduced sexual distress. While prior reports describe improvement in vulvodynia with vibrator use, there is limited published evidence linking its use to pelvic floor dysfunction or clitorodynia.
