The war in Ukraine has caused catastrophic battlefield injuries due to blast injuries, shrapnel and high velocity gunshot wounds often results in amputation of limbs. Post-amputation and neuropathic pain impact on rehabilitation with prostheses and future quality of life . The ongoing crisis has limited the use of radiofrequency and neuromodulation, and systemic analgesics are not favoured due to the side-effects and risk of developing dependence. Non-invasive peripheral neurostimulation could be a potential treatment option.
