Patients and caregivers often seek information online about their health. However, there is concern about the readability of available patient education materials (PEMs) online [1-3]. The American Medical Association (AMA) recommends readability of PEMs should not exceed a 6th-grade reading level [4]. In this study, we assess the readability, quality, and reliability of online PEMs on peripheral nerve blocks (PNBs) and compare PEMs produced by academic versus private institutions.
