Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic joint disease affecting ~15% of Americans, leading to pain, disability, and reduced quality of life. Conservative treatments like NSAIDs and physical therapy are often inadequate. Low-dose radiotherapy (LDRT), widely used in Europe, remains underutilized in the U.S. Since June 2024, LDRT has been routinely offered at Scripps Clinic. This study represents the largest American clinical series to date evaluating the safety and effectiveness of LDRT for OA.
