Seizure after stellate ganglion block for refractory ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation storm: A Case Report

Introduction: Electrical storm (ES) is driven in part by sympathetic overactivity and carries high early mortality; stellate ganglion block (SGB) is increasingly used as a rapid rescue for refractory VT/VF. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of a generalized tonic-clonic seizure occurring immediately after attempted SGB in this setting. We describe the case, explore the likely role of local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST), and summarize guideline-directed recognition and management.
