John Markman, MD, FAAN, is the Global Vice President for Neuroscience and Pain at Eli Lilly. Previously, he held positions as Vice Chair and Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Markman has been awarded the AAN's Mitchell Max Scientific Award and has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Pain and Pain Medicine. Dr. Markman has also held leadership roles in the International Association for the Study of Pain, North American Neuromodulation Society, and the American Academy of Neurology.
