Chronic non-specific low back pain (LBP) is linked to multifidus dysfunction (MD), characterized by impaired neuromuscular control and muscle atrophy, and is also seen in degenerative scoliosis patients. Restorative neurostimulation targeting the bilateral L2 medial branch nerves shows promise in treating chronic LBP related to MD. This case report highlights the successful implantation and positive outcomes of a restorative neuromodulation system in a patient with severe degenerative lumbar scoliosis.
