Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) treats chronic refractory pain. Paresthesia-free SCS (PF-SCS) offers pain relief without paresthesia, enabling blinded randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to assess its efficacy against placebo. Participant enthusiasm is crucial for successful trial execution. This prospective preference assessment survey (PPAS) explores patient perspectives affecting RCT enrollment and informs trial design to optimize participation. Understanding these preferences helps tailor recruitment strategies and improve the feasibility and impact of PF-SCS research.
