Conjoined lumbosacral nerve roots (CLNRs) are adjacent nerve roots that share a dural envelope during their course from the dural sac. There is wide variability in documented incidence, ranging from 2% in CT diagnosis to as high as 14% in cadaveric studies [1]. However, it remains an underreported anomaly as diagnosis is often missed on investigative imaging [1,2]. Appropriate recognition of CLNRs can significantly impact the management of refractory low back pain.
