Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) significantly increase the risk of intracerebral hemorrhage and subsequent neurologic deficits. Embolization effectively reduces the risk of rebleeding; however, it can also trigger perilesional inflammation and central sensitization, resulting in hemiparetic pain. Central post-stroke pain (CPSP), characterized by neuropathic features, can markedly impact rehabilitation. Early recognition and targeted multimodal pain management are crucial to optimizing recovery, functional outcomes, and quality of life in these patients.
