Hemicrania continua (HC) is a rare primary headache disorder characterized by persistent, strictly unilateral pain with ipsilateral cranial autonomic symptoms and superimposed exacerbations [1].The diagnosis is defined by an absolute response to therapeutic doses of indomethacin, distinguishing it from some other trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias and migraine[2][3]. HC is classically poorly responsive to all NSAIDs and headache medications other than indomethacin. However, indomethacin has known gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and renal risks that increase with duration and dose.
